Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
One of the most influential players in Golden Knights men’s basketball annals, Tim Koubek played a major role in establishing the program throughout the East Region. He was the lone captain of the 1988-89 team that won both the NAIA District 31 Championship and the National Catholic Basketball Tournament Championship, where he was twice honored as a Bill Bradley Scholar All-America selection. That 1988-89 squad also played in the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City. The second all-time assists leader (688) and among the top-20 all-time leading scorers (1,185) in program history, Tim was foremost a superlative leader who was instrumental in establishing summer league teams and preseason conditioning programs.
