Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
The 2000 baseball team advanced to the NCAA Division II World Series in Montgomery, Alabama. The Golden Knights finished 32-16-1 overall, overcoming being the first team eliminated in the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament by rebounding to win three consecutive games to capture the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship at UMass Lowell despite entering the weekend as the fourth and final seed. Saint Rose lost to Indianapolis and eventual champion Southeastern Oklahoma State in the World Series, but its appearance firmly entrenched the program on the national landscape.
