Among the most outstanding all-around players to walk on a baseball field for Saint Rose; Jason Miller was an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) second-team All-American as a senior in 1994, was a three-time ECAC first-team All-Region pick and a three-time ABCA first-team All-Region honoree. A New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) first-team All-Conference pick as a senior, Miller graduated as the school record holder with 221 career hits, a mark that currently ranks second in that category. He finished his career second all-time with 36 home runs and 34 doubles, third with 184 RBI, and fifth with 145 runs scored. He also owns the school record with a .421 career batting average, while his .460 batting average as a senior is the third highest single-season mark in school annals. Miller, who was drafted by and went on to play for the Texas Rangers organization following his collegiate career, is one of only two players in Saint Rose baseball history to bat .400 with 50 RBI and 60 runs scored in a single year. He still stands among the College’s top-10 all-time NCAA era leaders in batting, runs scored, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage, walks and fielding percentage.
