Kerri Stone was the first women’s soccer All-American at Saint Rose. The defensive midfielder was a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American and a first-team All New England Region pick as a senior in 2003, and was furthermore twice chosen a Northeast-10 Conference first-team All-League selection. Stone led the Golden Knights to their first two NCAA Tournament appearances in 2002 and 2003, and to a pair of ECAC Tournament appearances the two previous years. She started 79 of the team’s 80 contests throughout her career, the sixth most in school annals. The three-time team captain also closed out her career as the 12th all-time scorer in school history (51) despite spending most of her playing time as a defender, and also garnered several academic honors. Stone won the prestigious ECAC Robbins Scholar-Athlete Award and was also recognized as an NSCAA Scholar All-American as a senior.
