The second all-time leading scorer (1,874) and all-time leading rebounder in school history (1,280), Damon Reed was the Basketball Times National Player of the Year as a senior, was a two-time-time Basketball Times first-team All-American, a two-time Daktronics second-team All-American, and both a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and Division II Bulletin third-team All-American as a junior. He was furthermore named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Year as a junior, was a three-time ECAC first-team All-Region pick, a two-time NABC first-team All-New England selection, and a three-time New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) first-team All-League pick. Reed was also part of four NCAA Tournament teams, including two “Elite Eight” squads and the 1996-97 team that set a program record with 29 wins.
