Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
Lauren Steinberg Rowland is among the finest goalkeepers in the revered history of the Saint Rose women’s soccer program. She was named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) first-team Scholar All-American and a Daktronics All-American, and was honored as MVP of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship Tournament as a senior. Lauren was furthermore a three-time NE-10 All-League pick and a two-time NSCAA All-Region honoree. She closed out her career as the College’s all-time leader in wins (45), goals-against-average (0.62), shutouts (26), and saves per-game (2.56), and was fourth in saves (182). Additionally, Lauren was part of three NCAA Tournament teams and was a member of four squads that registered a collective .798 winning percentage (62-12-10). She was part of the 2007 team that won the College’s first NE-10 postseason championship in any sport and graduated with the second lowest goals-against-average in NE-10 annals.
