Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
Garth Joseph was twice chosen an Honorable Mention All-American by Division II Bulletin and was an Eastern Basketball All-East pick as a freshman. He was named the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) Rookie of the Year in 1994-95 and was named an NYCAC first-team All-Conference pick as a junior. Garth was part of three NCAA Tournament teams, was a member of the 1996 “Elite Eight” team, and part of the 1996-97 club that set a school record with 29 wins (29-5). He furthermore helped lead Saint Rose to a pair of NYCAC Championships and closed out his career as the program’s seventh all-time leading scorer (1,289), and as its all-time leading rebounder (1,072) and shot blocker (300) despite only playing three years. Garth furthermore recorded 58 career “double-doubles” in 89 games and spent part of the 2000-01 season with Toronto and Denver in the NBA.
