Staff

Student-athletes at The College of Saint Rose are supported by a sports medicine staff that includes three NATABOC-certified athletic trainers who collaborate with physicians and other allied health care professionals to provide the best possible medical care. The sports medicine staff administers all phases of preventive training, care and injury rehabilitation for 19 intercollegiate sports at the College. The staff also provides analysis to student-athletes on sport-specific nutrition, strength training and conditioning.

Sports Medicine Services


The Saint Rose main athletic training room is located on the main level of the Events and Athletics Center. We do have an auxiliary athletic training room located in the community center at the Plumeri Sports Complex, where our outdoor team sports (soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse) are housed.The athletic training room is open two hours prior to the start of all games, and closes 30 minutes following the conclusion of any contest.
The following is a list of items/services that will be available to you:

* Water and cups,
* Ice and ice bags,
* Crutches,
* Splints,
* AED (home bench only).


Available modalities:

* Electric stimulation
* Ultrasound
* Moist heat packs
* Whirlpool (main campus only)


If your team is traveling without an athletic trainer, notify a member of the Saint Rose staff at least 24 hours prior to travel. A letter from your athletic trainer must accompany the athlete, plus all necessary supplies. Please fill out the questionnaire attached below, and return it to the Saint Rose athletic training staff.
