Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
Don Kelly, who graduated in 1979, played a major role in helping the Saint Rose men’s basketball program forge an identity throughout its early days. The first truly “recruited” player at Saint Rose, Kelly scored 923 points in two seasons of play after transferring from the Junior College of Albany, and set school career records with a 20.9 scoring average and a .528 field goal percentage (385-for-729). A two-time All-League pick in the Northeastern Athletic Conference, he was the team’s Most Valuable Player in both of his years and led Saint Rose to back-to-back conference titles.
