Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
A superlative all-around defender and marking back, Courtney (Goess) Little made 79 career starts, which was second all-time upon her graduation and currently tied for 10th all-time. A Northeast-10 Conference All-League honoree as a junior and senior, she was additionally tabbed a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) second-team All-New England pick and was named the MVP of the ECAC Championship Tournament as a senior.
Little, who anchored four defensive units that allowed a mere 0.93 goals per-game throughout her career, was part of four teams that posted a .713 winning percentage (55-18-14), was a member of the 2003 squad that won the first NCAA Tournament game in Saint Rose women’s soccer history and was a part of three NCAA Tournament squads.
