Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
Chris Deubel graduated as the men’s basketball program’s all-time leading scorer (1,516) and rebounder (1,050). He was part of four squads that compiled an 88-38 record (.699), including three teams that won more than 20 games. Deubel, the first Saint Rose player to record 1,500 points and 1,000 career rebounds, was a three-time NAIA All-District 31 Honoree (1988, ‘89, and ’90). He helped lead the 1988-89 Golden Knights to a 28-5 record, the NAIA District 31 title, and an appearance in the National Championship Tournament at Kemper Arena. Deubel, who also led Saint Rose in scoring and rebounding in each of his last three seasons, was named the Most Valuable Player of the 1988-89 National Catholic Basketball Tournament in Dubuque, Iowa.
