Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
Gallagher Driscoll established himself among the finest point guards in the renowned history of men’s basketball at Saint Rose. A superlative playmaker and defender, Driscoll still holds school records for assists (878) and steals (359). He owns the top-two single-season marks in both categories as well. The only player to ever record 100 assists and 100 steals in the same season (1990-91); Driscoll was a Division II Bulletin preseason All-America selection and a New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) All-Conference pick in 1991-92. He was the MVP of the College’s first NCAA Tournament Team that year, was a member of two NAIA District 31 Championship squads and helped lead the Golden Knights to four consecutive, 20-win campaigns. Furthermore, the former captain was a part of four teams that won 77.2 percent (95-28) of their games collectively.
