Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame
Mark Gabriel, a 1977 graduate, was a standout forward from 1975 – 1977, tallied 877 career points in only two seasons of play for Saint Rose and was listed in the top-five in scoring average (20.4). As a junior, Mark led the team in scoring (18.5). In his senior year, he led the team in scoring (22.2) and rebounding (11.3) and was named MVP of the basketball team that won the 1976-77 NAC Tournament title. Mark graduated holding seven team records, including single-game field goals (16) and free throws made (13); single-season scoring (488), field goals (194) and defensive rebounds (163); and career records for free throw percentage (67.6) and scoring.
