Film, Photography and Video Policy
The College of Saint Rose is a private university. The College's express permission is required for any filming or photography on the College's owned lands by professional, commercial or news photographers or filmmakers or any other campus visitors taking pictures or filming for commercial purposes. Photos may be taken by students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and other campus visitors so long as: (a): The photos are used exclusively for personal, non-commercial purposes; (b) the taking of such photos is consistent with this policy; and (c) the activity is performed in a non-disruptive manner such that it does not interfere with the ongoing operations of the College and does not require special campus services. Moreover, the College is happy to have students, faculty, staff, their families and community members attend and photograph intercollegiate events so long as they understand that the images are intended for personal use only and not for any commercial use, general distribution and/or sale. Admission to spectator areas at athletics events assumes compliance with this policy.

The College owns the copyright of all institution athletics events, the sale of any image, either video or still photography, is prohibited.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the College reserves the right to prohibit any filming, videography or photography on its lands for any reason, including if the filming, videography or photography creates the potential for: (a) disruption of academic, research, business or student activities; (b) damage to or altercation of College property; (c) inappropriate use of the College's name, marks or image; (d) disruption of traffic, parking or pedestrian walkways; (e) other safety hazards; or (f) violations of any of the College's other policies including, but not limited to its policies pertaining to privacy. Filming or photographing in non-public areas, including classrooms, locker rooms and private offices, is not permitted without the consent of the individuals being filmed or photographed. No one may use recording devices of any type in the restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms and other locations where people have a reasonable expectation of personal privacy. To prevent any misunderstanding or confusion, employees, students and visitors are encouraged to store such devices in purses, backpacks, briefcases or pockets while visiting these locations.

Photography and video credentials are issued only to accredited members of the working media of official commercial outlets and to those that are employed by The College of Saint Rose, the Northeast-10 Conference or the NCAA. Please contact David Alexander, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications, to request credentials no later than 48 hours prior to a contest to ensure appropriate accommodations may be made.

On field/court photography credentials will not be issued for parents and non-professional photographers due to NCAA and institutional liability issues. Parents or relatives of student-athletes are not permitted to be on the sidelines or anywhere on the playing surface for photography purposes of any sport.

Passes for credentialed media covering home basketball and volleyball contests will be left at the ticket window of the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium, located on the main floor of the Events and Athletics Center. Credentialed media passes for sports at the Plumeri Sports Complex and other off-campus venues will be handed out directly by a representative of the Athletics Communications Office.
