Biography

GENERAL: Expected to return to his spot at the top of the rotation…Did not dress in 2007 due to injury…Listed Roger Clemens as the athlete he most admires…Said his father is the person who has had the most influence on him throughout his lifetime…Enjoys hunting and playing golf…Stands fifth all-time at Saint Rose in both strikeouts (181) and innings pitched (214.2)…Enters this year with the sixth lowest ERA (3.86) in program history.

AS A JUNIOR: Made 11 starts…Went 3-8 with a 5.23 ERA although he received only one run of support in five of his starts…Fanned a team-high 65 batters, the 11th best mark in the NE-10…Worked a team-leading 72.1 innings…Recorded 10 strikeouts in only 6.1 innings of work in the opener of a doubleheader at Bentley (4/26/09).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2006): Finished second on the team with a 3.68 ERA…Posted a 1-6 record in 11 appearances, including 10 starts…Was second on the team with 50 strikeouts in 73.1 innings of work…Allowed just 30 earned runs and held opponents to a .238 batting average…Struck out a season-high seven batters on three occasions; versus USP (3/9/06), at Concordia (3/17/06) and versus Stonehill (4/9/06)…Fanned six in a 10-inning performance at Bryant (4/1/06)…Went at least 5.0 innings in each of his last 10 appearances.

AS A FRESHMAN: Was a second team All-Conference pick…Led the Golden Knights pitching staff, starting 11 games…Threw one complete game…Had a 6-2 record with a team-best 2.61 ERA…Was named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week (3/7/05) and was Co-Freshman of the Week (3/21/05) after striking out a season-best 13 batters in a 7-2 win against Minnesota-Duluth (3/19/05)…Earned NE-10 weekly honor roll accolades twice…Fanned 11 in a 6-2 win at Stonehill (4/10/05)…Finished the season 67th in the nation in ERA and 70th in strikeouts per-nine innings…Was fifth in the conference with 66 strikeouts.
