GENERAL: Grad student academically…Given first name is Douglas…Listed Lance Armstrong as the athlete he most admires…Said his parents are the people who have had the greatest influence on him…Enjoys hiking and camping…Mentioned that “Field of Dreams” is his favorite movie…Would like to become a teacher in upstate New York following his graduation from Saint Rose…Said winning the section VII championship as a senior at Saranac Lake has been his best sports moment to date.

AS A JUNIOR: Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the fall ’09 semester in recognition of academic excellence… Competed in four combined individual events between the indoor and outdoor campaigns…Ran his best indoor time in the 800m, clocking in at 2:13.14 at the Colgate Invitational (1/30/10)…Finished 16th in the 800m at the Capital District Classic (4/24/10) with a time of 2:13.88 at Rensselaer.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Finished 14th outdoors at the Capital District Classic (4/25/09) when he ran a season best 1:03.61 in the 400m hurdles…Placed 11th indoors at the Crowell Open with a time of 5:08.61 in the mile…Ran the 1,000m indoor event at the NE-10 Championships (5/2/09) where he finished 12th overall with a time of 2:59.52.

HIGH SCHOOL: Garnered CVAC All-Star accolades as a senior…Was a two-year captain for both the cross country and track & field teams…Honored as a Gatorade Will to Win Athlete as a junior…Was a NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Award winner in cross country as a senior…Named team MVP in 2005 as well…Finished in the top-10 percent of his graduating class…Was chosen as a NYS Scholar-Athlete Award Winner.
