Biography

GENERAL: Aspires to become a high school history teacher following his Saint Rose career…Said his grandparents are the people who have influenced him the most in his lifetime…Enjoys reading in his spare time…Listed Steve Prefontaine as the athlete he admires most…Said winning the pole vault at the Springfield College Invite in 2010 has been his best sports moment.

AS A JUNIOR:  Set a Saint Rose record in the pole vault at 3.85 meters during the Tufts Stampede (2/4/12) for seventh place…Was named “Most Improved” for the indoor season…Registered a 3.70 meter pole vault on two occasions, first at the Boston Terrier Invitational (1/28/12) for share of 23rd place followed by 11th place at the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Championships (2/18/12)…Ran the 400 meters event three times, recording a season-best 52.39 time at the Boston Terrier Invitational (1/28/12)...Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll  for both semesters in recognition of academic excellence.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Continued to work as a dual threat for the Golden Knights, competing as both a runner and a pole vaulter…Had a pair of top-10 finishes during the outdoor season, both in the pole vault…Had his best heights of the season at the Capital District Classic (4/30/11) and at the NE-10 Championships (5/6-7/11) where he cleared the bar at 3.35 meters (10’ 11.75”) both times, finishing ninth and 10th respectively…Tied for seventh at the Springfield Invitational (4/2/11) with a vault of 3.05 meters (10’ 0”)…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

AS A FRESHMAN:  Set a school outdoor record by clearing 3.89 meters (12’ 9.18”) in the pole vault at the Springfield Invitational (4/3/10)…Ran a season-best outdoor time of 4:13.90 in the 1,500m run at the Capital District Classic (4/24/10) that was hosted by Rensselaer…Set the school indoor pole vault record with a sixth place mark of 3.65 meters (11’ 11.75”) at the NE-10 Championships (2/18/10)…Went for heights of 3.50 meters or higher throughout four other meets…Finished ninth in the 1,000m at the Williams Invitational (1/16/10) with a time of 2:41.53…Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the spring semester.

HIGH SCHOOL: All-League and All-Section I performer at Nanuet…Played soccer in addition to running track…Was a Scholar-Athlete award winner.
