GENERAL: Team’s top returnee…Is expected to swim nearly every discipline except perhaps the 50 and 100-yard freestyles…Owns six individual school records, with one set during the 2009-10 season and five in 2008-09…His sister Caitlin is a sophomore on the Saint Rose women’s team…Has another sister, Meaghan, who is a member of the swimming and diving team at nearby Siena College…His mother, Cathy, was a swimmer at Niagara University…Said his best sports moment to date was establishing himself as an All-American…Mentioned that former Saint Rose All-American Matt Kavanagh is the athlete he most admires…Favorite movie is “Miracle” and favorite food is pizza…Listed his parents as the people who have influenced him the most throughout his lifetime…Aspires to work in athletics following his graduation from Saint Rose.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll (10/20/09) after helping the Golden Knights to a second place finish at the Hartwick Relays as he swam second for the Saint Rose squad that finished first in the 400-yard freestyle relay…Also swam second in the 400m freestyle relay vs. Southern Connecticut State (10/31/09) when the Golden Knights posted their best 400 free time of the season at 3:21.62…Named to both the Fall ’09 and Spring ’10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll…Four times finished first in individual events on the season including setting a school record with a time of 16:47.41 in the 1,650 freestyle…Swam breaststroke in the 200 medley relay in a dual meet at Utica (11/7/09) where the Golden Knights finished first with a time of 1:47.08…Led off for Saint Rose as the team finished second in the 800. freestyle relay with a time of 7:15.12 at the NE-10 Invitational (12/5-6/09)…Did not compete in the spring due to injury.

AS A FRESHMAN: Had an All-American performance with an eighth place finish in the 200 breaststroke at the 2009 NCAA Championships that were hosted by the University of Houston…Sliced nearly five seconds off his own school record with a time of 2:03.97 in a preliminary heat, and wound up eighth overall by going 2:08.44 in the finals…Also earned honorable mention All-American accolades in both the 400 IM and 1000 freestyle…Took a staggering 21 seconds off his own school record with a 9:24.53 clocking in the 1,000 free to place 11th among 31 entries…Also took 11th place among 33 entries by removing two seconds from his own school mark with a 3:59.02 clocking in the 400 IM…Furthermore established school records in the 500 freestyle and 200 butterfly at the Metropolitan Conference Championships (2/20-22/09) that were hosted by Rutgers…Swam the 500 in 4:38.84 and completed the 200 fly 1:54.39…Named the NE-10 Male Freshman of the Year as voted upon by the league’s coaches…Chosen the NE-10 Male Athlete of the Week on two occasions (1/5/09 & 2/2/09)…Honored as the ECAC Swimmer of the Week once (2/4/09)…Selected as the NE-10 Male Freshman of the Week eight times (10/28/08, 11/24/08, 12/8/08, 1/5/09, 1/19/09, 1/26/09, 2/2/09, 3/16/09)…Set a meet record in the 200 fly by touching the wall in 1:57.46 at the Bentley Invitational (10/26/08)…Registered 26 first place performances that came in 12 different events throughout the year.

HIGH SCHOOL: New York State champion in the 200 IM and the 400 free relay…Owns the school record in both events as well as the section II record…Named Swimmer of the Meet at the section II Swimming and Diving Championships…Garnered Swimmer of the Year honors from the Albany Times Union…Also a scholar-athlete award winner as a senior.
