GENERAL: Among the team’s top sprinters and hurdlers…Said his parents are the people who have influenced him the most…Favorite movie is “300”…Enjoys paintball…Mentioned that Blake Griffin is the athlete he admires the most…Said being part of the winning 4x400 relay team at the 2010 Northeast-10 Conference outdoor championships has been his sports moment to date.

AS A JUNIOR: Enjoyed a record-setting season as he solidified his spot as one of the top sprinters in the NE-10…Earned second team All-Conference honors for the indoor season in the 55 meters after he finished second at the NE-10 Championships (2/17/11) with a school record time of 6.45…Also earned second team All-Conference outdoor honors in the 100 meters by finishing second at the NE-10 Championships (5/6-7/11) with a time of 11.16 after running a 11.13 prelim…Set the school standard in the 200 meters at the NE-10 Championships as well, finishing third in a time of 22.03…Also broke the school record in the 60 meters at the Tufts Stampede (2/4/11), clocking in at 7.03 as well as besting the Saint Rose charts in the 300 meters at the Princeton Relays (1/22/11), crossing the line in 35.52…Wound up earning five first place finishes during the indoor season collectively…Set a Golden Knights outdoor record in the 200 meters with his time of 21.65 at the Oneonta May Meet (5/14/11).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the NE-10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the spring ’10 semester in recognition of academic excellence…Named to the NE-10 weekly honor roll (1/12/10)…Earned first-team All-Conference outdoors as part of the winning 4x400 relay squad that set a meet record with a winning time of 7:47.37…Garnered second-team All-Conference accolades in the 4x400 indoors after the Golden Knights finished second in the NE-10 Championships (2/18/10) with a time of 3:19.85…Followed up a strong freshman season with a sophomore year that saw him claim six, top-five finishes in individual events…Broke his own school outdoor record in the 100m at the NE-10 Championships (5/1/10) by running 11.03 in his preliminary heat, before placing fourth with a finals time of 11.10…A versatile athlete, Saunders also took home top-10 finishes in hurdles and sprints as well as the high jump…Came in fifth at the NE-10 Outdoor Championships in the 400 hurdles with his time of 55.94…Set Saint Rose records in the 300m and 400m during the indoor campaign…Ran a winning time of 36.64 in the 300m at the Williams Invitational (1/16/10)…Went a school best 49.86 in the 400m to place sixth at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/18/10).

AS A FRESHMAN: Set a school record in the 100m dash at the NE-10 Outdoor Championships (5/2/09) where he ran 11.05…Locked in another school record at that meet with a second place time of 55.26 finish in the 400 hurdles…He furthermore helped the 4x400 team to a third place showing with a time of 3:23.77…Contributed to school record-setting 4x100 team that went 43.92 at the Penn Relays (4/24/09)…Helped set another outdoor school record in the 4x400 at that meet with a time of 3:22.59…Was furthermore part of school record 4x400 indoor team that ran a ninth place time of 3:22.63 at the NYU Fast Track Invitational (2/27/09)…Contributed to a first place finish for the 4x400 indoor relay team that crossed the line in 3:33.87 at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/24/09)…Ran a season best 9.11 indoors in the 60m hurdles where he finished 26th at the New York City Gotham Cup (1/16/09)…Placed ninth at the NE-10 Indoor Championships (2/18/10) with an 8.42 clocking in the 55m hurdles…Placed seventh at that meet by clearing 1.85 meters in the high jump…Named the NE-10 Freshman of the Week (4/13/09).
