Nina Predanic converted a penalty kick with 18 seconds left in the second overtime to allow The College of Saint Rose to upend visiting Pace University 1-0 in a match that at the time featured a pair of nationally ranked and unbeaten squads. Each side manufactured three shots-on-goal and both had earlier chances to win it. Junior keeper
Marika Laurendeau thwarted a dangerous high shot by senior back Marta Sardornil at the 77:23 mark to keep the match scoreless. Predanic had another PK opportunity midway through the first extra session, but Pace sophomore Jade Mallea stopped the attempt to force the match to continue.

Last Time Out: Saint Rose wrapped up its regular-season campaign on a high note with Tuesday's 2-1 Northeast-10 Conference triumph against visiting New Haven. The Golden Knights overcame an early 1-0 deficit and manufactured a 22-8 shot advantage while twice rattling the crossbar. Predanic set up both Saint Rose strikes. Freshman forward
Olivia Boucher tied it with her tenth goal of the year at the 18:42 mark when she drove home Predanic's initial deflected shot four minutes after the Chargers had gone ahead. Senior forward

Scouting #11 Saint Rose (14-2-1): The top-seed Golden Knights are ranked #11 in this week's United Soccer Coaches National Poll…Saint Rose is furthermore the top-ranked side in that group's East Regional rankings for the eighth consecutive week…The Golden Knights are also tops in the second NCAA Regional Poll that was posted  Wednesday…Predanic now leads the NE10 in goals (15), points (42), and assists (12)…She is also among the top-15 in each category nationally, and stands third with six game-winning goals…Boucher stands third in the NE10 with 10 goals on the year…Junior keeper

Prolific All-Conference Honors: Saint Rose dominates the 2019
NE10 All-League list with four major honors being bestowed to student-athletes that garner a Golden Knights uniform. Furthermore, Saint Rose is represented by nine student-athletes on the All-Conference teams. The All-League squads were selected by the conference's 14 head coaches. Predanic was named the Player of the Year, senior back
Deanna Trongone the Defensive Player of the Year, Laurendeau the Goalkeeper of the Year, and Boucher the Rookie of the Year. All four were named first-team All-Conference picks as well, along with Burchhardt. Senior backs
Nia Brown and
Karmyn Carter were tabbed second-team picks, while senior midfielder
Eva Frazzoni was chosen a third-team honoree. Boucher was also named to the All-Rookie team along with freshman midfielder
Sanna Rein.

Excelling Academically as Well: Saint Rose has the greatest representation on the Academic All-District® Team, as selected by the
College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The Golden Knights had four student-athletes that were recognized for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. No other institution had multiple honorees. The Saint Rose quartet consists of Predanic, Laurendeau, Brown, and sophomore back
Luisa Gaudl. As first-team All-District honorees, they will advance to the Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.

Golden Knights in the NE10 Championship: Saint Rose is seeking its eighth NE10 postseason title, only Franklin Pierce has won that many. The Golden Knights have made eight finals appearances and have advanced to the semifinals 16 times throughout their 20-year league tenure. Saint Rose won five consecutive postseason championships between 2007-11, and also hoisted the trophy in 2013 and 2014.
