KANSAS CITY, Mo.- The College of Saint Rose women's soccer coaching staff has been named Division II Women's Soccer East Region Coaching Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches Association.
The Golden Knights staff, lead by Head Coach
Laurie Darling Gutheil, guided Saint Rose to a 20-0-2 record in 2023, marking the first team in program history to reach 20 victories without a defeat.
Assistant Coaches
Jason Gutheil,
Renae Ransdell,
Kailey Egbert,
Meeghan Arno,
Morgan Farnan, and
Carlos Menjivar all played a key role as well in helping the Golden Knights to the unprecedented season.
"We have an incredibly talented coaching staff. Each of my assistants bring their special abilities and passion to win to the team," said Coach Darling Gutheil. "All contribute significantly to the development of our players and success of our team on and off the field. We are a close knit unit and I deeply appreciate all that they have done to make Saint Rose over the decades into an elite soccer program."
"Their positive influence on our players and team has been a key part of our winning formula. They have made an indelible impact on our players and teams which extends well beyond the soccer field. It has been an honor to coach alongside them. They will always be a part of my extended family."
Coach Darling Gutheil, who was also named the Northeast-10 Conference Coach of the Year this fall, finished this season with 428 career victories, which lists 21st overall for most wins in women's collegiate soccer history.
