WEST CHESTER, PA- The College of Saint Rose women's soccer team saw its 2023 season come to a close versus Adelphi today in NCAA East Region Final at Rockwell Field on the campus of West Chester University. 

After the two Northeast-10 Conference rivals finished an intense 90 minutes and two overtime sessions with a level score at 1-1, the Panthers earned the advancement by way of a 4-2 margin in penalty kicks.

With the result of the contest recorded as a draw, the Golden Knights finish the fall with a historic unbeaten record of 20-0-2, as this was the first team in Saint Rose program history to register at least 20 wins without a defeat.

Freshman midfielder Piper Klammer provided the match's first goal late in the first half, as she touched home a score off a corner kick that featured assists from junior midfielder Mia Klammer and graduate midfielder Elina Seppala.

Adelphi would find an equalizer shortly after halftime, when Kayleigh Goodrich snuck inside the near post in the 55th minute.

The two squads would continue to trade opportunities to the very end, however the 1-1 deadlock remained in place until the final whistle. Both teams combined to attempt 47 shots over the 110 minutes, including 23 total shots on goal.

Adelphi moves on to face with winner of the West Chester/Gannon matchup on Sunday afternoon.
