ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose scored three times in the opening 19 minutes of the second half to upend Felician 4-0 in a non-conference game this afternoon at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
For the second straight time, the Golden Knights (2-0) controlled the pace of play throughout the entire contest. Saint Rose, ranked #4 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II preseason poll, outshot the Golden Eagles (0-1) by a 23-0 margin and engineered 13 corner kicks, without yielding any.

Sophomore midfielders Kristin Carr and Jennifer Busk accounted for the other two tallies, while sophomore back/midfielder Joani Medero also picked up an assist.
The Golden Knights asserted themselves from the get-go as Vasquez collected a feed from Puopolo and slipped her shot inside the left post to make 1-0 Saint Rose.
Medero then found Carr who drove home a header in the opening seven minutes of the second period. Ten minutes later, Busk touched in a corner from Puopolo before Vasquez closed out the scoring in the 71st minute after Puopolo ricocheted a shot off the crossbar that Vasquez subsequently headed behind the goal line.
