Live Stats

The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Felician College for a non-conference match at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex this afternoon to continue a home stretch to begin the year.

Last Meeting (N/A): This is the first meeting between the two programs.

Scouting #4 Saint Rose (1-0):  Saint Rose scored three times in the opening 21 minutes and never looked back en route to a 7-0 non-conference victory against visiting Nyack on Thursday. Senior midfielder Sydney Bond scored three goals and senior forward Carmelina Puopolo scored twice to become the lone player in Golden Knights annals to record 50 career strikes. She also added a pair of assists. Sophomore midfielder Gianna Smith and freshman forward Sammy Blizzard accounted for the final two strikes while junior forward Meeghan Arno set up Smith's goal that made it 4-0 Golden Knights in the 32nd minute. Twenty letterwinners, including 10 starters, are back from last year's squad that made its fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament national semifinals.

Scouting Felician (0-0): The Golden Eagles played to a 7-9-1 overall record including a 5-6-1 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference mark last fall. Felician qualified for the CACC Tournament for the fifth straight year in 2012 although the Golden Eagles fell to eventual champion Wilmington 2-1 in the quarterfinal round. Senior forward Alysia Arcona produced a team-high 27 points behind 12 goals and three assists. Sophomore midfielder Macki Groves added six goals for all 12 of her points. Sophomore goalkeeper Julia Sheridan started three games and recorded two shutouts to go along with a 0.40 goals-against-average.

Up Next: The Golden Knights conclude a three-game non-conference homestand by welcoming Roberts Wesleyan on Tuesday for a 4:30 pm start. Felician on the other hand is back in action tomorrow afternoon, facing Stonehill in Easton, MA at 1:00 pm.
