The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes New Haven today for a Northeast-10 Conference match at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex that can be seen live on www.gogoldenknights.tv.

Last Meeting (10/20/12): Saint Rose defeated New Haven 2-0. Sophomore midfielder Amanda Vasquez and senior forward Carmelina Puopolo linked up for both strikes to lead the Golden Knights. Senior goalkeeper Jessica Gerski needed to make only three saves. Meanwhile, junior goalkeeper Natasha Purchia had to record 12 saves to keep the host Chargers within striking distance. Saint Rose controlled tempo for most of the contest with a 24-10 shot advantage.

Scouting #5 Saint Rose (14-0-2/10-0-2 NE-10): Saint Rose is ranked No. 5 in the most recent NSCAA/Continental Tire National Poll. The Golden Knights shutout streak in league play finally ended at 11 games on Saturday after Stonehill scored in the opening minute, before Saint Rose countered with three unanswered tallies. Five players figured in the scoring during that 3-1 win. Senior midfielder Sydney Bond reached double-figures in goals for the fourth consecutive year when she tallied the game-winner with her team-leading 10th strike of the season.

Scouting New Haven (9-3-3/7-3-2 NE-10): The Chargers have won four of their last five matches and sit fourth in the conference standings with a three-point advantage against fifth place Merrimack. Junior forward Amber Simms and senior forward Monica Yanez share the team-high of 11 goals, which also places them second in the NE-10. Simms adds five assists for 27 points, again ranking her second in the league. Purchia has started all 10 games she has played in. She owns a 0.80 goals-against-average and a .852 save percentage.
