UTICA, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose track & field teams ran today at the Utica Spring Invite, where the Golden Knights men placed 12th and the women took 13th in the respective team standings.
Reese Casinelli highlighted the day with a third place finish in the men's 200-meter. Casinelli earned his podium with a time of 22.29 seconds.
Matthew Waruch and
Matai Hazel both claimed a seventh place result on the afternoon. Waruch finished the 800m in 2:02.85, while Hazel crossed the line in 11.11 seconds in the 100m dash.
Dionis Best also took 14th in the 100m (11.26) in addition to finishing 13th in the 200m (23.46).
Zoe Harris claimed eighth in the 100m in 12.99 seconds. Harris also topped a trio of Saint Rose sprinters with her ninth place result in the 200m (27.74).
Gisella King (27.90) and
Sara Fitzgerald (28.13) respectively finished 11th and 13th as well.
Keenan Wood had a strong day in the field, as he was second in the triple jump (12.71 meters) and eighth in the long jump (6.37 meters).
Jalen George and
Daniel Miller did well in the discus, as George earned 10th (32.61m) and Miller placed 15th (30.65m).
Emma Crahan scored seventh in the shot put (10.02m) and 13th in the hammer throw (32.93m) for the Golden Knights women.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights are scheduled to compete locally at the RPI Friday Night Under the Lights Meet on Friday evening in Troy.
