SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The College of Saint Rose received individual victories today from sophomore
Lauren Reed and freshman
Ja'Lil Reynolds at the Springfield College Classic.
In addition to taking the win in the triple jump with a best-distance of 11.36 meters, Reed also claimed fifth place in the long jump behind a launch of 5.07m.
Sophomore
Stephanie Green had a strong day in the field as well, earning second in the hammer throw (49.25m) and seventh in the shot put (10.37m).
Freshman
Zoe Harris dashed to sixth in the 400m, clocking a 1:03.74. Harris also teamed with Reed, sophomore
Tatiana Leggiero, and freshman
Jedidiah Shortte to cross the line second in the 4x400 relay in 4:28.28.
On the men's side, Reynolds took the victory in the high jump after clearing the 2.05m bar. Sophomore
Mason Davis performed well in the discus (13.47m) and shot put (13.47m) behind respective finishes of third and fourth in the two field events.
Freshman
Andre Woods crossed the line fourth in the 200m (22.76 seconds) and sixth in the 100m (11.45), in addition to helping the 4x400 relay group of juniors
Joshua Campbell and
D'Andre Little, and freshman
Matthew Waruch to a fourth place finish (3:50.37).
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights next compete on Saturday, April 16 at the Penmen Relays that are being hosted by Southern New Hampshire University.
