ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose is set to compete in the Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at host Stonehill in Easton, Mass.
The Golden Knights will look to score key points in the jump and throw events, as sophomores
Stephanie Green,
Lauren Reed, and
Ja'Lil Reynolds rank amongst the top field athletes in the conference.
Green owns the best mark in the women's hammer throw (49.36 meters) and sixth-longest shot put toss (32.30m), while Reed ranks fifth in the long jump and seventh in the triple jump with respective distances of 5.53 and 11.36m.
Reynolds has topped all NE10 competitors in the high jump by clearing the 2.05m bar, a performance that has met the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships.
Green and Reynolds each claimed first place finishes at the NE10 Indoor Championships in February, with Green taking the win in the hammer throw and Reynolds conquering the field in the high jump.
The Saint Rose women were picked to finish 10th, while the Golden Knight men were selected to place ninth overall in voting conducted by the conference head coaches.
Events begin at 2:00 pm on Friday afternoon and conclude on Saturday evening at W.B. Mason Stadium on the campus of Stonehill.
