MANCHESTER, NH- The College of Saint Rose earned key points in the field events today at the Penmen Relays, hosted by Southern New Hampshire.
Sophomore
Lauren Reed led the Golden Knights with a first place finish in the triple jump behind a best-distance of 10.89 meters, in addition to taking third in the long jump with a mark of 5.11m.
Sophomore
Stephanie Green rounded out the strong day in the field by earning second place in both the discus (32.30m) and hammer throw (49.36m).
In the lanes, sophomore
Jaelyn Howard claimed second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.14 seconds), while freshman
Zoe Harris crossed the line third in the 400m in 1:03.18.
Howard and Harris were joined by Reed and sophomore Tatianna Leggiero to finish second in the 4x400m relay with a time of 1:09.14.
On the men's side, freshman
Ja'Lil Reynolds earned the victory in the high jump (1.93m), while freshman
Andre Woods earned second in the 100m sprint in 11.20.
Woods was also part of the third place 1600 sprint medley relay team alongside junior
Joshua Campbell and freshmen
Matthew Waruch and
Reece Casinelli that crossed in 3:43.30.
The Golden Knight women finished fifth, while the men took eighth overall in the team scoring.
Next up, Saint Rose stays in the Capital Region to compete in the UAlbany Spring Classic on Saturday, April 23.
