BOSTON, Mass.- The men's and women's track & field program had a strong weekend during this weekend's Northeast-10 Indoor Championships held at THE Track at the New Balance Center. The men's and women's teams finished 6th and 10th respectively in the team standings.
Reese Casinelli earned the highest finish of the competition for the men's team, with a second place result in the 400-meter. Casinelli's time of 48.42 seconds not only eclipsed his own program record, but also met the NCAA provisional qualifying time for the National Championships.Â
Matai Hazel scored in two individual events for the men; the 60m and 200m. After setting the second-fastest 200m time in school history in the prelims (22.20), Hazel would go on to finish sixth in 200m and seventh in the 60m.Â

Dionis Best teamed up to set the best time of the season (3:30.2) while finishing seventh in the 1600m relay.
The women's team was paced by the 1600m relay quartet of
Sara Fitzgerald,
Zoe Harris,
Rihanna Burgher, and
Gisella King that finished in seventh with a season-best time of 4:12.21.Â
Emma Crahan narrowly missed out on finals when she tossed a new personal best of 10.26m in the shot put.
The men's and women's indoor teams cap an extremely successful season that featured 15 top-5 performances in program history; including five new school records.
The two teams will return to action in a few short weeks when the Golden Knights travel to Wesleyan University in Connecticut for the first meet of the outdoor season.
