STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose indoor track and field teams set multiple schools records at today's Wagner Seahawk Shootout at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
Matai Hazel set the Saint Rose men's program record in the 300-meter with a time of 35.47 seconds. Additionally,
Reese Casinelli registered the third-fastest 300m time in program history (35.82).
Jalen George had a strong effort in the weight throw, as his distance of 14.03 meters listed fourth in the program record books.
Sara Fitzgerald recorded the fourth-best 600m time in school history, as she crossed the line in 1:43.08.Â
Rihanna Burgher (42.91),
Zoe Harris (43.71), and
Gisella King (44.16) respectively recorded the second, third, and fourth-fastest 300m times in Saint Rose women's history.
In the relays, the Golden Knights men logged the second-quickest time 4x200-meter time in the school records (1:32.35), while the women finished with the third-best ever 4x200m mark (1:49.89).
The Golden Knight will head into the holiday break with their next event set to be the Wagner Invitational on Saturday, January 6, 2024 back at Ocean Breeze.
