STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose track & field teams each posted several strong results in the field events at today's NYC Gotham Opener at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
Trevon Walker finished fourth in the long jump (6.35 meters) to highlight the day for the Saint Rose men.
Keenan Wood earned sixth place in the triple jump (12.50m) to go along with an eighth-place performance in the long jump (6.20m).
Jalen George took 13th in the weight throw (12.03m) and 16th in the shot put (10.99m).
Brandon Clarke finished 24th in the shot put as well (8.94m)
In the lanes,
Reese Casinelli claimed fourth in the 400 meter with a time of 50.22 seconds.
Matai Hazel crossed 17th in the 400m in 51.69.
Matthew Waruch was 14th in the 800m (1:59.38),
D'Andre Little crossed 16th in the 60m hurdles (12.03), and
Shemar Delphin was 17th in the 60m dash (7.35) to round of the top men's performances.
On the women's side,
Emma Crahan earned 12th in the shot put (8.93m) and 17th in the weight throw (9.20m).
Gisella King was strong in both facets, as she took 13th in long jump (4.78m) and 22nd in the 400m (1:01.79). Additionally,
Sara Fitzgerald was 20th in the 800m (2:29.82).
The Golden Knights are slated to next compete next Saturday at the Utica College Blue & Orange Invitational.
