GARDEN CITY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose challenged Adelphi in a dual meet this afternoon on Long Island.
Sophomore
Aldemar Alikavazovic registered victories in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke behind respective times of 22.44 and 59.35 seconds.Â
Sophomore
James Henriques touched the wall first in the 200 free (1:51.58), in addition to second place finish in the 100 free, where he was edged by a mere 0.71 seconds.
Sophomore
Nathan Greene recorded a pair of runner-up finishes as well for the Saint Rose men. Greene was edged in the 500 and 1000 free with final marks of 5:11.52 and 10:44.52.
On the women's side, sophomore
Mia Stroub tallied two individual wins on the day. She began the day by taking the 100 backstroke in 1:05.29, followed by the victory in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.79.Â
Senior
Laura Borrelli and sophomore
Gabbie Lupe added wins as well for the Golden Knights, with Borrelli scoring the win in the 50 free (26.30) and Lupe taking the 100 free (57.70). Lupe also joined Stroub and sophomore
Sofia Marinucci and
Grace King to finish first in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:49.92.
The Golden Knights return to the water for the program's Senior Day meet tomorrow at 1:00 pm at the Albany High swimming pool.
