ONEONTA, N.Y. The College of Saint Rose swimming & diving teams began the 2022-23 campaign today at the 16th Annual Hartwick Relays, hosted by Hartwick College. The Golden Knight women placed fourth overall, while the men claimed fifth in the team standings.
The women's grouping of senior
Brenna Hayes and sophomores Sophia Marinucci and
Nickolette Nesci scored the best result of the day for the Golden Knights with a second place finish in the 3x100-yard breaststroke. The trio clocked a 3:53.73 to claim the runner-up spot.
Hayes also worked with sophomore
Mia Stroub and senior
Laura Borrelli to take third in the 3x100-yard butterfly relay (3:17.49).
Sophomores Nathan Green and
James Henriques paired with senior
Jacob Steen to finish fourth in the 3x100 butterfly with a time of 2:58.52. Steen teamed with sophomores
Maddox Aramani and Chris Staniszewski to earn fourth again in the 3x200-yard medley relay.
Greene and Aramani joined sophomore
Aldemar Alikavazovic and senior
Phillip Crandall to recorded fourth place in 1:49.16 in the 200 medley relay.
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights compete at the Hartwick Quad Meet, taking place on Saturday at the Sally Griffiths Herbert '88 Aquatic Center.Â
