Last Meeting (11/14/19): The College of Saint Rose built a two-goal second half lead and held off fourth-seed and visiting Bentley 3-2 in a Northeast-10 Conference Championship Semifinal. The Golden Knights put seven players in the scoring column throughout this evening's fairly evenly played match. The Falcons possessed the ball for 53.0 percent of the match and each side generated 11 shots, although the Golden Knights engineered a slim 6-5 advantage in threats-on-target.
Â
Last Time Out: Freshman forward
Mia Klammer etched her name in the record book and Saint Rose extended its season-long unbeaten streak to five matches with Tuesday's 6-1 triumph at NE10 rival Pace University. Klammer became only the fifth player in Golden Knights history to score four goals in a game, which falls one shy of the school record five set by Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame Jenn Camardello. Junior forward
Kaelyn Britt and freshman midfielder
Samantha Diaz also found the back of the net for Saint Rose.
Â
Scouting Saint Rose (5-0-0/2-0-0 NE10): The Golden Knights are ranked #3 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll for the second consecutive week…Today is only their second home match of the year…Klammer joined the elite company of Wendy Barker, Lynette Sherwood, and Drea Porteus, along with Camardello, who have scored four goals in a single match…Sherwood twice pulled off the feat…Porteus, who has also been inducted into the Saint Rose Athletics Hall of Fame, was the last one to do it 22 years ago…Saint Rose has outscored its five opponents to date by a 19-3 margin despite playing four of those contests on the road…10 players have accounted for the 19 goals and 14 players have figured in the scoring column…Britt has at least a point in four of the five matches on the year…The Golden Knights are fourth in the country in scoring offense (3.80 goals per game) and ninth in points (49)…Both of those marks pace the NE10…Britt and Klammer are among five players who have an NE10 leading nine points.
Â
Diversity: The Saint Rose roster features student-athletes from six states and Canada, in addition to Germany, Finland, England, and Brazil.
Â
Scouting Bentley (3-1-2/3-0-0 NE10): The Falcons won their third straight and extended their unbeaten streak to five matches with Tuesday's 2-0 victory against visiting league rival Adelphi…In the process, they extended their shutout stretch to 270 minutes…Goalkeeper Kat Hassapis has played all 549 minutes between the posts and leads the NE10 with a .933 save percentage and a 0.33 goals-against-average…Senior midfielder Dana Goulet is among the group of league leaders with nine points.
