WOMEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING NARROWLY FALLS AGAINST LE MOYNE


Results
TROY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose women's swimming and diving team was defeated by Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne at today's dual meet at Robison Pool on the campus of RPI. The Golden Knights were outscored by the Dolphins 121-109.
 
Junior Colleen Quaglia touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.53 and also took first in the 500 freestyle, finishing in 5:12.55. Freshman Tierra Damico had a strong day from the diving end of the pool, sweeping both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with final round totals of 201.15 and 194.92, respectively. 
 
Senior Gabrialla Ficano and freshman Marta Lekovic also contributed wins on the day for Saint Rose.  Ficano won the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.02.  Lekovic finished in 1:02.20 to earn the victory in the 100 backstroke.  Ficano and Lekovic were later joined by juniors Nicole McIntosh and Olivia Stebbins-Hopkins on the winning 200 medley relay that touched the wall in 1:54.61.
 
Looking ahead, the Golden Knights travel to Worcester, Mass to compete in the Gompei Invitational. The meet runs Friday, December 6 and continues through Sunday, December 8 on the WPI campus.
