Series: Saint Rose leads 6-0 | First Meeting: 2003

Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose delivered 20th year head coach Laurie Darling Gutheil her 299th victory in style with yesterday's 6-1 season opening win at Nyack. The third-ranked Golden Knights used a balanced attack as five players accounted for the six strikes.Saint Rose scored three times within a three-minute span in the early going to set the tone. Senior midfielder Silvana Giovannone scored twice and set up senior forward Jennifer Busk to make it 1-0 with 14:29 elapsed. The Golden Knights were never threatened from that point forward.

Last Meeting (9/7/14): Saint Rose scored five times throughout a 29 minute span early in the second half to upend host Holy Family 6-0. Carmelina Puopolo scored three times, while sophomore forward Morgan Burchhardt and junior forward Sammy Blizzard each had a goal and an assist to lead the Golden Knights attack.

Scouting Saint Rose (1-0): Another autumn brings familiar lofty expectations for Saint Rose. The Golden Knights are ranked #3 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Preseason National Poll and are favored to win their eighth Northeast-10 Conference Championship within the past nine years. Last season's squad made its sixth NCAA Tournament National Semifinal appearance within the past seven years, where Saint Rose was upended on penalty kicks by eventual national champion Grand Valley State (MI). Again the Golden Knights outstanding depth stands out. Some keys will be getting several talented new players acclimated, staying healthy, and replacing Puopolo's scoring ability. The three-time All-America forward delivered a school record 199 points throughout her stellar career. The athleticism of two-time All-America central back Jourdan Thompson and two-time, All-Conference outside back La'Quilla Upton will also be missed.

Scouting Holy Family (1-0): The Tigers opened their season with Thursday's 1-0 triumph at crosstown rival Philadelphia University. Freshman midfielder Brianna Rock scored the game's lone goal in the 55th minute. Holy Family returns 17 players, including two of its top-three point producers, from last year's squad that finished third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference with a 9-3-0 record, 10-5-1 overall. Junior keeper Sienna Smith recorded 52 saves throughout 11 starts in 2014.

Up Next: Saint Rose is back home this Wednesday for a 6:00 pm game versus Roberts Wesleyan. The contest is scheduled to be streamed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv. Meanwhile, Holy Family has a week to prepare for a 4:00 pm home meeting with CACC rival Nyack.
