GOLDEN KNIGHTS WELCOME OWLS FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS GAME

Breast Cancer Awareness night: Saint Rose is wearing pink Friday night in honor of its annual breast cancer awareness game. The Golden Knights will be accepting donations toward Camp Bravehearts, an oncology camp for women directed in part by head women's basketball coach and senior woman administrator Karen Haag. Ribbons placed on the side of the home and visitor dug outs serve as recognition for those who have battled, are currently fighting, or succumb to some form of cancer, and impacted a Saint Rose or Southern Connecticut team or staff member in some way.

Senior day (Saturday): In honor of the final home games of the 2015 regular season, Saint Rose will take time in between Saturday's double header to honor the six senior members of the team for their hard work and dedication towards the program.

Last meeting (4/13/14): The Owls claimed last season's series 2-1 at Pelz Field. SCSU took games one and three, while Saint Rose claimed the middle contest. Amber Loussedes '14 and Olivia Reeves '14 led the Golden Knights from the plate as both dished out four hits on the weekend. Sophomore Carly Wood registered a .375 average (3-for-8) to sit just behind. Sophomore Renee Vaiano nabbed the lone win in the circle, while junior Nicole Wickham suffered both losses. The duo combined for seven strikeouts and nine runs, eight of them earned. For the Owls, senior Sarah Koerner went 6-for-10, followed by Nicole Buch at 5-for-11 and Kaley Marden '14 at 3-for-9.
