ALBANY - The College of Saint Rose men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs have earned the distinction of Scholar All-American Teams by the Collegiate Swim Coaches Association of America. The Saint Rose men’s squad was listed along with a mere 23 other NCAA Division II institutions, while the women’s team was one of only 36 NCAA II schools recognized for the spring 2010 semester.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose is represented by 144 different student-athletes on the spring 2010 Northeast-10 Conference Commissioners’ Honor Roll. Overall, 164 Saint Rose student-athletes were named as 16 participated in more than one sport.

ALBANY – Garth Joseph, one of the most popular players to ever don a uniform for The College of Saint Rose, led his native Dominica to a bronze medal at the Windward Islands Basketball Tournament last week in Grenada. He recorded 42 points and a tournament-high 34 rebounds for Dominica, which finished 2-1 with victories against Grenada and St. Lucia.

ALBANY – Former assistant coach Don Bassett and former head coach and current assistant Mike Long, along with All-American Steve Dagostino (’08) were inducted into the Capital District Basketball Hall of Fame this past Sunday.

SOUTH EASTON, MA – The College of Saint Rose is represented by three student-athletes on two Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference teams in recognition of outstanding athletic and academic achievement from this past spring season. The teams were voted on by a committee of athletic administrators and Faculty Athletic Representatives (FAR) within the league.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose announced today that Ali Meacham has been named the head softball coach. She will be taking over a program that just completed its inaugural year of competition at the College’s new Plumeri Sports Complex.

ALBANY – The College of Saint Rose was recently honored with the David R. Brunk Award for Institution Sportsmanship by the Northeast-10 Conference and the conference’s Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) council. The award was presented at the conference’s end of the year awards banquet in Burlington, VT.
