ALBANY, N.Y- The College of Saint Rose softball team split an afternoon doubleheader against Saint Anselm today at Haker Field. The Golden Knights dropped the opener 2-0 before bouncing back for a 3-1 win in game two.
Katelyn Baker went 2-for-2 with two RBI to lead the Golden Knights to the victory in the finale. Baker scored
Madison Chandler with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second before registering a fourth-inning sacrifice fly that also plated Chandler.
Maddy Bland matched Baker with two hits as well in game two.
Nayana DeAmelia brought in Baker with pinch hit RBI-single in the bottom of the sixth to provide Saint Rose with some insurance runs.
Hannah Breen earned a victory in the circle in game two after allowing just one run in 7.0 innings.
Saint Rose turns around to welcome Southern New Hampshire a Haker Field for a pair of afternoon contests tomorrow starting at 12:00 pm.
