ALBANY–The College of Saint Rose recorded its fifth shutout in six games this year with today's 3-0 win against
Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.

Carmelina Puopolo recorded her fourth career hat trick to pace the Golden Knights (6-0-0/3-0-0 NE-10) attack. Meanwhile, Â the backline of seniors La'Quilla Upton and
Jourdan Thompson, and junior
Nicole Shively, along with sophomore keeper
Ashley Homer, limited the Penmen (2-3-1/0-2-0 NE-10) to one shot-on-goal.

Saint Rose recorded four shots before freshman forward
Morgan Burchhardt delivered a cross that Puopolo touched home for what proved to be the game-winner with 18:55 gone by. Puopolo then made it 2-0 with 33:46 elapsed when she ripped a shot from 18-yards out under the crossbar. She closed out the scoring by heading home a cross from junior forward
Jennifer Busk for her league-leading 10th strike of the year.

The Golden Knights, who are the nation's top-ranked NCAA Division II squad in this week's
NSCAA/Continental Tire Poll, have now outscored their six opponents 23-1 and have generated 53 corner kicks, while surrendering 12. Furthermore, 14 different players have figured in the scoring column.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home this Tuesday, September 23 to face #13 Adelphi in a rematch of last year's NE-10 Championship game that the Golden Knights won 2-0. The contest is scheduled to be streamed live on
