Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose broke open a 1-0 game with three goals during a five minute span midway through the second half to win Wednesday's Northeast-10 Conference opener 4-0 at Le Moyne. In the process, the Golden Knights snapped the Dolphins three-game win streak and gained the first point in the fourth annual Upstate Challenge rivalry series between the two schools. Saint Rose had a balanced attack with six players figuring in the scoring column. Junior forward Jennifer Busk led the way with a goal and two assists.
 
Last Meeting (9/21/13): Saint Rose chalked up a 1-0 victory at Southern New Hampshire. The Golden Knights manufactured a 16-4 advantage in shots, including an 8-1 differential throughout the final 45 minutes, and generated eight corners while yielding just a pair. Busk scored the game's lone goal when she collected a pass from Laura Taylor and let go a 25-yard blast that went inside the far right post with three minutes remaining in the first half.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (5-0-0/1-0-0 NE-10): The Golden Knights are the nation's top-ranked NCAA Division II team in this week's NSCAA/Continental Tire Poll. Senior forward Carmelina Puopolo recorded her 50th career assist on Wednesday. She now stands tied for 12th among the all-time leaders in NCAA Division II annals. Puopolo furthermore paces the NE-10 in all three major offensive categories with 18 points on seven goals and four helpers. Fourteen players have already figured in the scoring column. The Golden Knights have struck for 20 goals, and have yielded just one. They entered the week seventh in the country in scoring offense with 4.00 goals per-game.
 
Scouting Southern New Hampshire (2-2-1/0-1-0 NE-10): Today marks the first road game of the year for the Penmen who are coming off of Wednesday's 2-1 non-league setback to LIU Post. Sophomore midfielder Alexa Poulin recorded Southern New Hampshire's lone tally with 25 seconds remaining. The Penmen have now dropped two straight after opening the year 2-0-1. Junior midfielder Morgan Branco and freshman forward Alena Woodarek pace the offense with two goals each. Sophomore keeper Autumn Scanlon owns a 1.72 goals-against-average throughout all of the team's 470 minutes. Southern New Hampshire has only three seniors on this year's roster.
 
Up Next: Saint Rose returns home this Tuesday, September 23 to face #13 Adelphi in a rematch of last year's NE-10 Championship game that the Golden Knights won 2-0. The contest is scheduled to be streamed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv. Kickoff is set for 5:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Penmen are home Wednesday for a 7:00 pm date versus conference rival Merrimack.
