The Plot: The College of Saint Rose welcomes Mercy for the first of two homes game this week at Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.

Last Meeting (2/27/13): Host Mercy scored six unanswered first half goals to upend Saint Rose 14-10. The Mavericks outshot the Golden Knights 19-8 throughout the first half although Saint Rose manufactured an 18-17 differential during the final 30 minutes. Junior attack Kevin Fleming recorded five points on three goals and a pair of assists. Senior attack Brett McAuliffe had three goals and a helper, while junior midfielder Evan Helming finished with two goals. Meanwhile, Joe Poppe found the back of the net four times and Mike Marzocca scored three times and set up a pair of goals to help Mercy.

Scouting Saint Rose (0-3): Three overtimes were needed to decide a 10-9 win for host Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday. Senior midfielder Rich Bamberger led the Golden Knights with three goals. Saint Rose has fallen in the past two games by a combined three goals. Bamberger leads the team with four goals while junior attack Colin Sorber posts a team-high six points behind two goals and four assists. Junior defender Jake Files leads the Northeast-10 Conference with eight caused turnovers while sharing the team-high of 10 groundballs with freshman goalie Joe Shapiro. Shapiro averages nine saves a game for the Golden Knights with a 9.97 goals-against-average.

Scouting Mercy (4-1): The Mavericks have won back-to-back games by indentical 12-6 scores versus American International last Tuesday and against Saint Anselm on Saturday. Junior attack Jesse Wood is averaging 6.6 points per-game with 18 goals and 15 assists on the season. Sophomore attack Kyle Stockton adds 11 points on seven goals and four assists. Sophomore goalie A.J. Pellati has started four games. He has made 36 saves and owns a 3-1 record.
 
Up Next: Both teams are in action this Saturday with respective conference games. Saint Rose welcomes NE-10 rival Franklin Pierce at 1:00 pm while Mercy travels to Old Westbury, NY to face East Coast Conference foe NYIT at 12:00 pm.
