SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The College of Saint Rose defeated Northeast-10 Conference rival American International by the score of 13-10.
After a man-up goal gave the host Yellow Jackets a 6-5 lead with 6:16 left in the second quarter, the Golden Knights ripped off seven unanswered goals between the ends of the second and third periods.Â
Elijah Martin tallied a game-high six points, as he registered three goals and a game-high three assists in the win.
Noah Gibson,
Jack Rice, and
Cam Smith matched Martin with three goals, while
Brady Frys added a solo strike.
Gibson and Martin combined for five of the seven scores for the Golden Knights in the game-changing rally.Â
Greg Walsh distributed two assists, while Rice, Smith, Gibson,
Alex Johanson, and
Walter Ross had one assist each.
The Golden Knights held a 23-3 advantage in faceoffs over AIC, with
Eoghan Sweeney posting a 21-for-23 effort in the circle.
Saint Rose will look to make it three wins in a row with a 7:00 pm matchup at Assumption on Wednesday night.
