ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team earned a 15-9 Northeast-10 Conference victory over Franklin Pierce this evening at Sullivan Field.
Eight different Golden Knights registered two or more points on the night to secure the team's first league win of the spring.Â
Cam Smith scored four times to top the Saint Rose offense. Smith's all-around effort also saw him tally six ground balls. Â
Jack Rice,
Nathan Ham, and
Elijah Martin netted two goals each.
Eddie Baker,
Greg Walsh,
Paul Wright,
Alex Johanson, and
Eoghan Sweeney recorded solo strikes.Â
Johanson had two assists, while Walsh, Wright, and Martin added helpers as well.
Franklin Pierce netted the final goal of the second quarter to send the two teams to the break knotted at 7-7, however the Golden Knights owned eight of the 10 goals scored in the second half to pull away.
Sweeney and Danny Berutchenko combined to finish 25-of-26 in the face of circle for the Golden Knights. Â
Saint Rose next faces American International in a 1:00 pm matchup on Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Mass.
