MEN'S LACROSSE CLOSES SPRING AGAINST BENTLEY

ALBANY, N.Y.- The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team led by three in the early stages of the fourth period today against Bentley, however the visiting Falcons scored the final eight goals of the game to take a 14-9 victory in the regular season finale at Sullivan Field.

Cam Smith scored four goals and Noah Gibson struck three times for Saint Rose. Smith's scoring total provided him with 52 goals on the spring, which eclipsed his single-season program goal scoring record. 

Emmett Brady and Jack Rice added one score each, while Elijah Gibson and Greg Walsh finished with two assists apiece. 

The Golden Knights were behind 3-0 when Brady, Gibson, Rice, and Smith all scored in succession to put Saint Rose ahead by one. 

Bentley tied things up with 14 seconds in the half, but Gibson and Saint Rose found time to strike with four ticks left in the frame to take a 5-4 advantage in the break.

Gibson scored the first goal of the second half, with was followed by back-to-back scored by Smith to extend the Saint Rose margin to 8-4 in the third. 

After Bentley answered with a pair, Smith converted a feed from Martin to put the Golden Knights ahead 9-6, prompting the late Bentley comeback.

The Falcons scored eight times in the final 12:57, with Nick Harvarth and Will Adams provided two goals each in the game-winning rally. 

Harvard finished with four goals, while Adams tallied three scores in the win for the Falcons. 

The Golden Knights finish the spring with an overall record of 7-10.
