Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose scored three times in the second half to upend visiting Adelphi 3-0 during Friday's Northeast-10 Conference Championship Semifinal. Senior forward Carmelina Puopolo scored her league-leading 18th goal of the year that amounted to her eighth game-winner at the 68:06 mark. Freshman forward Morgan Burchhardt then added an insurance tally with 83:48 gone by and senior midfielder Meeghan Arno closed it out less than four minutes later. The match started out slow before the Golden Knights built some momentum throughout the latter stages of the first half. They then kept probing the Panthers defense after halftime, before striking three times in the final 22 minutes. Saint Rose manufactured an 11-2 shot advantage during the decisive second stanza.

Last Meeting (10/15/14): Senior midfielder Emily Benjamin headed home a corner kick from Burchhardt 45 seconds into overtime to lift visiting Saint Rose to a 1-0 victory in a match that was played on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Sophomore keeper Ashley Homer recorded three of her five saves in the first half for the Golden Knights, while senior Rachel Edgin was called upon to turn aside four threats in each half for Assumption. Saint Rose dictated pace throughout the second period and in the brief overtime session when it manufactured a 13-4 shot advantage and produced eight of nine corner kicks.

Scouting Saint Rose (17-1-2): The Golden Knights are ranked #7 in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire National Poll. They are aiming to win their seventh NE-10 Championship within the past eight years. The lone exception came in 2012 via a 1-0 semifinal setback to eventual titlist Southern New Hampshire. Saint Rose has now won 15 games in each of the past nine seasons. The Golden Knights lead the NE-10 with 51 goals and a 0.38 team goals-against-average. They also pace the conference with 168 corner kicks, 48 more than any other team, and have yielded a mere 46. They have furthermore shutout 13 of their 20 opponents. Sixteen players have at least one goal including Puopolo who stands fourth nationally with 18 goals and 43 points. Eight of her strikes have been game-winners. Burchhardt has eight goals and is in a four-way tie for the league lead with eight assists. Junior midfielder Jennifer Busk is also in that mix. Homer has logged all of the squad's 1,885 minutes between the posts. She is second among the league leaders with a 0.852 save percentage and relies upon a defensive unit consisting of senior backs Jourdan Thompson and La'Quilla Upton, junior back Nicole Shively and junior midfielder Michaela Phillips to record a 0.38 team goals-against-average, the nation's seventh best mark.

Scouting Assumption (15-3-1): The top-seed Greyhounds advanced behind Friday's 2-1 semifinal win against visiting Franklin Pierce. Junior midfielder Paige Radomski, the 2014 NE-10 Player of the Year, put Assumption up 1-0 in the 41st minute. Franklin Pierce then converted a penalty kick to level the match with 73:11 elapsed. However, Radomski struck again nine seconds later for what stood up as the game-winner. On the year, Radomski trails only Puopolo among the NE-10 scoring leaders. She has 33 points behind 15 goals and three assists. Freshman forward Amanda Arnold also plays a large role up front with 27 points via 11 strikes and five helpers. The duo accounts for 56.1 percent of the Greyhounds total offensive production. Meanwhile, Edgin has played all but 12 minutes between the posts. She owns a 0.88 goals-against-average and a 0.850 save percentage.
