Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose scored once in each half to upend visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Michael's 2-0 in the rain Saturday afternoon. Junior midfielder Silvana Giovannone set up the game-winner and added the insurance marker to spearhead the Saint Rose attack. Senior midfielder Meeghan Arno put the Golden Knights on the board when she headed home a Giovannone cross with 24:23 expired. Giovannone then made it 2-0 when she knocked home a loose ball in the area at the 56:05 juncture. Sophomore keeper Ashley Homer recorded four saves, while senior keeper Aubrey Ouellet made a pair of stops for the Purple Knights.

Last Meeting (11/22/13 | NCAA Tournament): The Yellow Jackets struck twice within the opening 26 minutes en route to their first National Quarterfinal appearance behind a 2-0 victory on this pitch. Mariah Shade scored both goals to lead American International. Senior keeper Samantha Tabak made all three saves in the second half for the Yellow Jackets while Jessica Gerski recorded a stop in each half for the Golden Knights. The shots wound up at 12 apiece. Each squad also engineered five corner kick opportunities.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (9-0-1/5-0-1 NE-10): Saint Rose is the nation's top-ranked team for the third consecutive week according to the most recent NSCAA/Continental Tire Poll. The Golden Knights are unbeaten at the midway point of the regular season for the eighth time in the past nine years, including six straight. Senior forward Carmelina Puopolo and freshman forward Morgan Burchhardt have recorded at least a point in seven matches this autumn. The former is the league's leading point producer with 28 on 12 goals and four assists. She is also sixth in the nation with 2.8 goals per-game. Meanwhile, Burchhardt is the conference's top freshman scorer. She has five strikes and four helpers to her credit. The duo has also combined for seven of the team's nine game-winners. Homer helps spearhead a defensive unit, which includes junior back Nicole Shively, along with seniors Jourdan Thompson and La'Quilla Upton, which is third in the country in with a 0.19 goals-against-average. Saint Rose is furthermore 10th nationally in scoring offense with 3.0 goals per-game. Burchhardt was named the NE-10 Rookie of the Week and Homer was tabbed the Goalkeeper of the Week yesterday. Junior forward Jennifer Busk has a league-leading six assists. The Golden Knights have taken 84 corners and have had to defend only 23.
 
Scouting American International (2-6-1/2-4-1 NE-10): The Yellow Jackets have won two of their last three after opening the season 0-5-1. All six of their losses have been by one goal. Stonehill scored in the 89th minute to leave Springfield with a 1-0 victory on Saturday. Junior forward Alyssa Werbicki paces the team's scoring parade with three goals and an assist. Furthermore, fellow junior forward Brittany Barry has two goals and a helper to her credit. Tabek has played 740 of the squad's 830 minutes between the posts. She owns a 1.22 GAA.
 
Up Next: Both teams have 2:00 pm conference road matches set for Saturday. The Golden Knights will travel to Manchester, NH to meet Saint Anselm, while the Yellow Jackets will head to North Andover, MA to face Merrimack.
