Series: Saint Rose leads 15-1 | First Meeting: 1995
 
Last Time Out: The College of Saint Rose put itself in the catbird seat with a dominating first half that propelled the Golden Knights to a 4-1 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival Pace University on Tuesday afternoon. Six different players figured in the scoring column for Saint Rose, which registered all of its strikes in the opening 45 minutes. The Setters spoiled the shutout with a goal in the 61st minute. Senior forward Carmelina Puopolo recorded her fourth multi-goal game of the year to lead Saint Rose. Freshman forward Morgan Burchhardt had a goal and an assist while senior back Jourdan Thompson accounted for the final tally. Furthermore, junior midfielder Gianna Smith and senior back La'Quilla Upton each had an assist as well.
 
Last Meeting (10/5/13): The Golden Knights outshot the Purple Knights 23-5 and developed nine corner kicks, while yielding only one, en route to a 2-0 victory in Colchester, VT. Sydney Bond scored the game-winner early in the second half and set up the insurance marker to become only the sixth player in school annals to record 100 career points. Junior forward Kristin Carr accounted for the other strike while junior midfielder Amanda Vasquez collected an assist on Bond's tally.
 
Scouting Saint Rose (8-0-1/4-0-1 NE-10): The Golden Knights are the nation's top-ranked NCAA Division II team in the NSCAA/Continental Tire Poll for the third consecutive week. They are also unbeaten at the midway point of the regular season for the eighth time in the past nine years, including six straight. Puopolo and Burchhardt have recorded at least a point in seven matches this autumn. The former is the league's leading point producer with 28 on 12 goals and four assists. Meanwhile, Burchhardt is the conference's top freshman scorer. She has five strikes and four helpers to her credit. The duo has also combined for seven of the team's eight game-winners. Sophomore keeper Ashley Homer helps spearhead a defensive unit, which includes junior back Nicole Shively, along with Thompson and Upton; that stands second in the country with a collective 0.21 goals-against-average. Saint Rose has taken 75 corners and has had to defend only 19.
 
Scouting Saint Michael's (3-5-1/2-3-1 NE-10): Saint Michael's is coming off of Tuesday's 0-0 draw with visiting conference rival Saint Anselm. Sophomore forward Michaela Horne leads the attack with five goals and an assist. Junior midfielder Cassie Chernicki has three assists to her credit, while senior keeper Aubrey Ouellet owns a 1.00 GAA throughout 631 of the squad's 830 minutes that span eight matches.
 
Up Next: The Golden Knights return home next Tuesday, October 7, with a 5:30 pm date versus conference rival American International. That contest is scheduled to be streamed live on www.gogoldenknights.tv. Meanwhile, Saint Michael's is also home that afternoon with a 3:30 pm meeting versus NE-10 foe Franklin Pierce.
