Series: Saint Rose leads 14-10-2 | First Meeting: 1999

Last Time Out: Senior midfielder Emily Benjamin deflected home a corner kick from freshman forward Morgan Burchhardt 45 seconds into overtime to lift The College of Saint Rose to a 1-0 victory versus Northeast-10 Conference rival Assumption on Wednesday evening. In a match that featured the top-two NE-10 teams, the Golden Knights recovered from their lone setback of the year by doubling the Greyhounds shot production and generating a 10-2 corner kick differential.

Last Meeting (10/19/13): Saint Rose manufactured an 18-4 advantage in shots and a 9-1 edge in corner kicks en route to a 3-0 victory in North Andover, MA. Junior midfielder Kristin Carr and sophomore forward Sammy Blizzard each picked up their fifth markers of the year. Blizzard also set up Sydney Bond.

Scouting Saint Rose (11-1-1/7-1-1 NE-10): On the heels of last Saturday's 2-0 loss at Saint Anselm, the Golden Knights moved to #5 in the NSCAA/Continental Tire National Poll after maintaining the top spot throughout the previous four weeks. Saint Rose is fourth in the nation with a league-leading 0.30 goals-against-average and stands 28th with 2.46 goals per-game, which is tied for the NE-10 lead. Senior forward Carmelina Puopolo is the country's 11th leading point producer with a conference best 28. She also paces the NE-10 with 12 goals. Burchhardt has five goals and a like number of assists to her credit. Junior forward Jennifer Busk is second in the NE-10 with a team-high six assists. Fourteen other players have recorded at least a point to forge a balanced attack. Sophomore keeper Ashley Homer has played all of the team's 1211 minutes between the posts and thus is credited with all 10 of its shutouts. The Golden Knights have taken 110 corners and have had to defend only 32. Former All-America back Kylee Litchfield ('06) will be inducted into the College's Athletics Hall of Fame this evening.

Scouting Merrimack (6-5-2/2-5-2 NE-10): The Warriors have dropped two of three following Wednesday's 2-1 setback at conference rival Stonehill. They are 1-4 on the road this season, although three of those setbacks have been by one goal. Junior forward Jenna Savi leads the attack. She is tied for fourth among the conference leaders with 19 points on six goals and a league best seven assists. Freshman forward Sarah Boucher is also a double-figures point producer with four goals and a pair of helpers to her credit. Junior keeper Meghan Gulbrandsen has logged 759 of the team's 1236 minutes. She owns a 1.66 GAA. Head coach Gabe Mejail is in his 31st year at the helm. The only women's soccer mentor Merrimack has known, he has won an NCAA Division II record 419 matches.

Up Next: Both teams are back on the pitch this Tuesday. The Golden Knights will host Southern Connecticut State at 5:30 pm, while the Warriors will head to Colchester, VT to take on Saint Michael's at 3:00 pm.
